民族的历史与文化最直观的凝聚建筑之中，小小的四合院，每一处都留下太多的故事。垂花门便是四合院内的一个重要建筑。她以端庄华丽的形象成为四合院的外院与内宅的分水岭。“大门不出，二门不迈”的二门即指的此门。
一门之隔，隔出大家闺秀三从四德，一墙之围，围起京都百姓喜怒哀乐。那个时代的痕迹残留在斑驳的院墙，岁月如水，静静改变世间沧桑。曾经四世同堂，几度潮起潮落，院内院外的变迁留在旧时的黑白影象中。小小模型，独立于都市的尘嚣之外，品位珍藏，感受凝练历史的独特匠心。
Chuihua Gate
Chuihua gate is called the second gate which separates the outer court and the inner court. Passages run along the two sides of the gate. The function of the outer court is to receive guests whilst the inner court is reserved as family dwellings. In feudal times, young unmarried girls “were not allowed to go out the front entrance, nor was the threshold of the second door to be crossed.” The “second gate” in the saying refers this entrance.
